Hilary and Simon are honestly one of the sweetest, most welcoming couples I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Pair that with one of my favourite venues, The Square Tower Portsmouth, a trip to the Historic Dockyard, and a couple shoot on HMS Victory herself you have pretty much the perfect wedding in my book! I had so much fun shooting this wedding. You always get that glowing look from the bride and groom, but at this wedding it was contagious, I left feeling a little lighter. As always the Square tower was a joy, providing us with a stunning backdrop for the upstairs ceremony, before heading back out of the doors to throw the confetti, or up on the roof for some group photos. The options at this venue really are amazing from every angle.
It was then straight over to the Dockyard, where the couple met to take photos on a ship that was very close to their hearts, HMS Victory. We were very privileged to be able to board the vessel and do a photoshoot on board. Making the most of the natural light that floods through the portholes, and taking some time out in Nelson's cabin, where Simon proposed.
Without further delay, please enjoy the wedding of Hilary and Simon (with the addition of some gorgeous shots from my lovely second shooter Dan)
