Loz and Steve are two of the nicest people I have ever met, with the addition of their gorgeous little girl they make the perfect little family. I was so thrilled to get a call from Loz, only a few months prior to their wedding asking if I could Photograph it for them. As a Portsmouth girl, I love shooting in local venues, particularly the naval weddings that capture such a great part of Portsmouth's history. I met up with Loz a week or so later and the gorgeous Lily, whose cuteness I just couldn't quite handle and of course agreed to document the day for them.
I started with the girls for bridal preparation in the morning with lots of laughs (and LOTS of water) and a very near miss messy incident with champagne.
The lovely Dan was nearby with the men (and Lily) at Nelsons Wardroom for their preparations, before all then walking over to the Church, meeting their guests on the way.
The ceremony took place at St Ann's Church, a stunning venue based within Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard, with its high ceilings, white walls and balcony, it still remains in my top 5 of ceremony venues. I get so excited when I know I get to photograph a wedding here as the opportunities it presents are endless.
The remainder of the day was spent a short walk or drive away, in the stunning dinning room at Nelson's Wardroom, a venue which needs very little introduction and very little decoration! It's a playground for detail and rustic design. Starting with a wonderful dinner and ending with everyone on the dance floor, I hope these images serve a constant reminder of the love these two share.
